The Minerals Fee will roll out Minerals and Mining Rules to trace all earthmoving machines and gear utilized in mining.

The implementation of the Regulation, which is backed by the Mineral Operations Monitoring Earthmoving and Mining Gear Rules, 2020 (L.I. 2404), types a part of the measures put in place to clamp down on unlawful mining actions within the nation.

The Minister for Lands and Pure Sources, Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor, who introduced this at a press briefing in Accra, disclosed that the operation and management room for the monitoring of the mining machines and gear can be prepared by the top of August 2022.

“Our dedication is to ship 50 well-regulated, environmentally-sound and viable Group Mining Schemes by the top of the yr,” he added.
