Santa Rosa County college district units leaner finances in 2023

The Santa Rosa County College Board on Thursday morning reviewed the tentative finances proposal for the upcoming 12 months, which, regardless of being smaller general, featured large investments in services and worker wages.

In all, the upcoming finances is slated to take a seat at about $477 million, though the district’s Assistant Superintendent for Finance Susan McCole warned it’s a proposed finances and may change.

The district may have over $28 million much less to make the most of this upcoming 12 months, the majority of which is dominated by a big lower in particular income. McCole defined the district may have much less cash in that designation as a result of it consists of funds from the American Rescue Plan and the Elementary and Secondary College Emergency Reduction Fund, each of which took place as a response to the coronavirus pandemic.
